Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Journal of Strategic Management & Business (JSMB)

Journal of Strategic Management & Business of Community Service implements a strict and structured double-blind peer review process. All submitted manuscripts go through an initial editorial screening to check relevance to the journal’s scope, completeness of required components, and similarity level, with a maximum allowed similarity of 25% excluding references. Manuscripts that pass this stage are assigned to a Section Editor for further evaluation before being forwarded to reviewers.

Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts under a double-blind system, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential. Reviewers assess the manuscript’s originality, methodology, data quality, analysis, contribution to community service practices, and overall structure. Based on their assessment, reviewers provide recommendations: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

The Editor communicates the review results to the authors, who must submit a revised manuscript along with a response document. Revised manuscripts requiring substantial changes may undergo re-review. Once revisions are considered adequate, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance.

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout preparation, and galley proof review before publication. The journal publishes issues 3 (three) times a year, namely in March, July, and November, and all articles are made available as open access. Post-publication corrections, including errata, corrigenda, or retractions, may be issued when necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
