DECLARATION OF USE (AI) DECLARATION OF GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) USE Nexus of Justitia Law Review To uphold academic integrity and ensure transparency in the manuscript preparation process, the Nexus of Justitia Law Review requires all authors to provide a declaration regarding the use or non-use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. This statement must be placed at the end of the manuscript before the reference list.
Option 1 — If Authors Used Generative AI Tools Declaration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use In preparing this manuscript, the author(s) used [name of AI tool, e.g., ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini, Claude] to assist with language refinement, text consistency, or paragraph structure. The author(s) reviewed and verified all AI-generated content to ensure that the scientific ideas, interpretations, and analytical components of the manuscript originate entirely from the authors. The author(s) accept full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and academic integrity of this work.
Editorial Note: This statement applies when AI is used for linguistic enhancement only. Generative AI must not be used for core scientific tasks such as conceptualizing research, analyzing data, constructing arguments, or drawing conclusions. All AI outputs must be carefully validated by the author(s).
Option 2 — If Authors Did Not Use Generative AI Tools Declaration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use The author(s) declare that this manuscript was prepared entirely without the use of generative AI technologies or automated text-producing tools. All ideas, narrative structure, arguments, and scientific explanations were developed solely by the author(s) without any AI-generated assistance. Editorial Note: This statement applies when the manuscript is written completely by the author(s). The use of basic grammar checkers, spell-check tools, or reference management applications is not considered AI use and does not require disclosure.
Ethical Policy for the Editorial Process The Nexus of Justitia Law Review prohibits reviewers and editors from using generative AI technologies during manuscript review, evaluation, or decision-making processes. This policy is implemented to protect manuscript confidentiality, safeguard authors’ intellectual property rights, and ensure objective editorial judgment. This policy may be updated in line with future developments in ethical AI practices within scholarly publishing.
